Allen & Gledhill (Vietnam) has been identified by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2022 as a Firm to Watch in the Corporate and M&A category, despite being established only in October 2020. With a team comprising senior Vietnamese lawyers familiar with the business environment, laws and practices of Vietnam, as well as foreign qualified lawyers with expertise and experience in cross-border transactions, Allen & Gledhill (Vietnam), helmed by Managing Partner Oh Hsiu-Hau, has in its short lifespan worked on several landmark deals.
For instance, Allen & Gledhill (Vietnam) advised Sembcorp Utilities on its collaboration with BCG Energy to develop renewable energy projects in Vietnam.
The same team was also involved in other ground-breaking ESG-related deals such as acting for the SP Group in its joint venture with BCG Energy as part of their strategy to enter the Vietnam market. This complex joint venture involved several phases of development, as well as the restructuring of multiple projects at certain intervals as the joint venture continued to progress.
