Michelle’s areas of expertise encompass mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, employment matters and corporate advisory work for public companies listed on the Singapore Exchange.

Michelle regularly acts for publicly listed companies and privately-held corporates across a broad spectrum of industries in a variety of high value and complex transactions, with a focus on domestic and cross-border share and business acquisitions (for both public and private companies) and public take-overs. She also advises on the continuing obligations of Singapore listed companies under the listing rules of the Singapore Exchange and non-contentious employment matters.

Michelle joined the Firm in 2006 after she was called to the Singapore Bar.

Work Highlights

• Acted for Goodpack in its privatisation from the Singapore Exchange by way of a scheme of arrangement. This transaction was awarded Asian Legal Business SE Asia Awards 2015 M&A Deal of the Year and The Asian Lawyer Asia Legal Awards 2015 M&A Deal of the Year: Private Equity.
• Acted for Singapore Telecommunications in the S$2.47 billion purchase of Temasek’s stakes in Intouch Holdings Public Company and Bharti Telecom.
• Acted for Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri S.p.A. on its various take-over exercises for Vard Holdings, a company listed on the Singapore Exchange.
