Myanmar limits companies to five “principal activities” in annual returns form

On 30 July 2024, the Myanmar Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (“DICA”) provided guidance to companies in relation to the submission of their mandatory Annual Returns form (“AR form”). DICA states that companies are to select no more than five significant forms of business among types of business structures in the AR form. 

All registered companies are required to submit the AR firm on DICA’s e-registration system, Myanmar Companies Online, initially within two months of incorporation and subsequently on an annual basis. Failure to submit the AR form may result in the company being struck off the Register of Companies.
