The Malaysia Federal Court in Datuk Bandar Kuala Lumpur v Perbadanan Pengurusan Trellises & Ors and other appeals in a landmark decision has confirmed that the test for standing to sue in judicial review should be a broad and liberal test. The Federal Court also clarified, among other points of law, the common law duty of administrative bodies to give adequate reasons in their decisions and the issue of conflict of interest involving administrative bodies.
