Many are familiar with Singapore as a leading international arbitration hub, yet fewer are acquainted with the Singapore International Commercial Court (“SICC”), an alternative premier forum for resolving complex cross-border commercial disputes.
This article, written in Korean, examines the landmark case of Kiri Industries Ltd v Senda International Capital Ltd, providing insights into the SICC’s approach to resolving high-stakes international commercial disputes. The case provides practical insights for Korean law firms and legal professionals involved in investing in Singapore or handling international dispute resolution, covering the importance of jurisdiction selection, the potential role of the SICC, and the enforceability of judgments.
