Han Junwei

Counsel

Junwei is a tax lawyer with deep tax technical expertise in Singapore, and broader experience across the Asia Pacific region.

He provides tax advice across a wide range of matters, including international tax, fund structuring/formation, wealth management, CRS/FATCA, tax controversies, and Pillar 2. Particularly, he has in-depth experience supporting institutional funds as well as family offices.

In addition to tax advisory, Junwei has transactional experience in high value M&A deals. He has acted for both the sell-side and buy-side, and has also advised warranty & indemnity insurers.

Junwei is a committee member of the Tax & Trusts Committee within the Law Society of Singapore. He has also completed the Advanced Tax Programme with the Tax Academy of Singapore, where he won the Commissioner’s Book Prize for best overall performance in the cohort, amongst other prizes.

Prior to joining Allen & Gledhill, Junwei served as a Director in Deloitte within both the Financial Services and Deloitte Private teams, where he led the delivery of tax advice on Deloitte’s key local and regional engagements. He also previously practiced tax law in the Singapore office of a leading international law firm.
