Gabriel is a Partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice group. He assists clients on a broad range of transactions, including joint ventures, public company takeovers, private company acquisitions and corporate restructurings.

He has assisted sovereign wealth funds, multinational corporations, public listed companies and high net worth individuals on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions across a broad range of industries, including real estate, telecommunications and media, F&B, healthcare and technology.

Gabriel graduated with a First Class from the University of Oxford and was a College Book Prize recipient at Corpus Christi College. During his time at Allen & Gledhill, he was seconded to a leading Japanese law firm.

Work Highlights

  • Acted for Temasek in the S$11 billion merger of Ascendas-Singbridge with CapitaLand, transforming CapitaLand into the largest diversified real estate group in Asia.
  • Acted for SPH in the restructuring of its media business and the S$3.9 billion sale of its real estate and other businesses, which saw Keppel Corporation emerge as the winning bidder from a competitive auction process and an unsolicited competing bid from the Cuscaden Peak consortium.
  • Acted for the controlling shareholders of BreadTalk in their buyout of the company.
