Counsel

Gloria is a Counsel in the Technology & Corporate Intellectual Property Practice. Her areas of expertise are in intellectual property, technology and pharmaceuticals, health products, cosmetics and food regulation.

Her practice involves a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters involving trade mark, copyright, patent, domain names, confidential information and data protection.  Her experience includes conducting intellectual property due diligence in corporate transactions, conducting intellectual property audits for clients, advising clients on the acquisition of intellectual property and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements relating to the acquisition of intellectual property.

Gloria’s practice includes advising and managing information technology disputes spanning a range of different technologies and offerings.  She has advised clients on the execution and negotiation of IT contracts with third parties. 

She has expertise in the regulatory aspects of pharmaceuticals, health products, cosmetics and food law.  Her experience includes drafting and advising clients on clinical trial agreements, informed consent documents for use in clinical trials and other commercial agreements relating to pharmaceuticals and health products. 

Gloria was named as a “Leading Individual” for Intellectual Property by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2020.  She was also recognised as a Trade Mark star in the 2020/21 edition of IP Stars for Singapore.

Gloria joined the Firm in 2006 after she was called to the Singapore Bar.

Work Highlights

  • Acted for Warner-Lambert in Suit No. 390 of 2015 Warner-Lambert Company v Novartis (Singapore; CA 121 of 2016).
  • Advised various large Singapore companies in software licensing disputes with software service providers.
  • Advised leading information, communications and technology (ICT) service provider in Singapore in the acquisition of intellectual property rights across several jurisdictions from foreign software company.
