Yuen Ping specialises in capital markets, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and business trusts and has acted for issuers and underwriters in notable initial public offerings (IPOs) and secondary offerings, including the largest IPO to-date in Singapore.

Yuen Ping also has extensive experience in private funds as well as other corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, sale of businesses, and business and group restructuring. She continues to advise issuers on post-listing work ranging from regulatory and compliance matters to secondary offerings and regularly gives talks to and conducts seminars for the industry players.

Yuen Ping joined the Firm in 1998 and has been a Partner since 2005.  

Work Highlights

  • Acted for the manager of Mapletree Logistics Trust (MLT) in its acquisition of Mapletree Logistics Hub Tsing Yi Hong Kong SAR for a total acquisition cost of HK$4.9 billion (approximately S$847.6 million) and in MLT’s equity fund raising exercise comprising a preferential offering and a private placement which raised gross proceeds of approximately S$640.0 million. 
  • Acted as transaction counsel in the IPO and listing on the Singapore Exchange of Keppel DC REIT, the first data centre REIT to be listed in Asia and on the Singapore Exchange.
  • Acted as transaction counsel in the IPO of Hutchison Port Holdings Trust which raised gross proceeds of around US$5.5 billion and is the largest IPO to-date on the Singapore Exchange.
