Myanmar sets import reference prices for certain goods

The Myanmar Department of Trade issue Notice 8/2024 on 6 August 2024 informing that the Import Value Review Team, composed of the Customs Department and the Department of Trade, had reviewed the import reference prices for 3,279 types of goods to ensure the “correctness of the prices of goods” imported into Myanmar. 

The Notice states that for those applying for an import licence and making an import declaration for the affected goods, the import reference price determined for each good shall be the price determined from 12 August 2024 onwards. The list of affected goods was not attached to the Notice.
